There is definitely an increased interest in the Napoleonic period, as is evident from the number of books being published on the subject. This year should prove to be an exciting one for the Napoleonic Association with a wide range of activities planned, including the largest battle seen on the field of Waterloo since 1815! This is appropriate for the Association as 1995 sees the 20th Anniversary of the formation of the Napoleonic Association. However, it is not just the Association that is promoting the period in a big way this year. Other events are planned by organisations around the country.
