This article is intended as a follow on from Mrs. Shatsillo's manuscript in issue 10 regarding the correct pronunciation of `foreign' names. Having lived in Britain for several years now I have also noticed how poorly the indigenous wargamers pronounce the names of European generals, so inspired as I have been I have attempted to follow up the Russian generals of 1813 with their Prussian counterparts. My apologies if this offends some but it is done with a Schleswig-Holstein accent! I have adopted the same format as previously used to enable familiarity.
I hope that this short dissertation can be of some use. My favourite name of all the above is Hunnerbein, which for those of you who are not aware translates as "Chicken-Legs."
