The Warre game beyond the Alps
Next Sunday Robert and I will have a try at the Warre rules. The game will be a small attack-defence scenario, with about 12 units per side from my new Vintage project. The idea is to test a tercio based mainly infantry army, with some Cuirassiers and mounted Harquebusier, versus an army which has Dutch-type infantry and less armoured cavalry, on linear formations.
The terrain will be open, apart from some built-up area on one side and a small wood on the right. The defenders will have a gentle hill where to put their camp or some useful units, like an artillery battery.
