Table setup for Agliana
The idea
Porta San Paolo as it stands today.
The game idea came when we decided to prepare a table for Agliana with some scenario very close to our Club in Rome. We decided for Belisarius and the Siege of Rome, when small and large skirmishes, real battles where fought very close to the walls.
Sorties from the besieged army were very costly for the goths, and we will centre the game on one of these sorties.
A painting from William Turner may give an idea of how this part of the city was in ancient times. I believe it did not change terribly from the sixth to the end of the 19th century.
Table setup
