Notes from the Editor...

by Dave Reynolds

We have received requests for a "Letters to the Editor" page; starting with this issue, you've got it. We really don't receive many letters, so here's your chance to write us some.

You will also find two scenarios, articles on making terrain, the fog of war, and "Iron at Sea" naval gaming in this issue. On page eighteen, there are guidelines for submitting articles; please help us out in this area.

This issue contains four extra pages; I hope you enjoy them. We haven't received many articles of late -- you know what that means! We also haven't received any input regarding a membership survey; maybe we will hold off on that project for awhile.

I have recently purchased several terrain pieces from ACWS member Curtis Murff, a.k.a. "Murff-Turf." I now own several hills, a farm site, a sunken road, hills with a road and castle; soon to come are Waterloo buildings. Each piece is custom- made and they are the best I've seen available.

Curtis' prices are reasonable and he completes them quickly. (I hope this plug won't slow down my projects!) I can't recommend Curtis' work highly enough; see for yourself.

"There be Tigers ahead."

At right, a photograph of Zouave reader Mike Gilbert, attired as a Confederate officer, should inspire our readers to new heights of generalship!
