For those ACW gamers looking for a simple and fast moving game, ON TO RICHMOND may be the rule set for you. This set of rules requires no bookkeeping because casualties are accessed by complete stands. Also, the fire melee and morale systems are fairly straight-forward quick. As a consquence, play can be quickly learned and quickly taught.

Another feature of these rules is the scale. Each unit is a brigade. Therefore, you can fight Corps or Army Level battles, and campaigns.

As a consequence of the above features, ON TO RICHMOND is probably one of the three most popular sets of ACW rules, currently.
