We received some figures for review from Steven Phillips, 4761 Bear Canyon, Tuscon, Arizona, 85749 (telephone 602-749-0703). Mr. Phillips imports both the Bicorne Miniatures and Eagle Miniatures lines from England for sale in the USA. He submitted 25mm ACW figures from each manufacturer for our review. The Bicorne Miniatures submitted (4 foot and one cavalry figure) are out of the "large" 25mm style so prevalent today. From the top of the base to the top of the figure, these foot figures are 30-35mm high, which would make them compatible with the Dixon 25mm ACW line. The figures are well animated and well detailed. At $1 per foot and $2.25 for cavalry, these figures are somewhat of a bargain, especially for imported figures. The Eagle Miniatures submitted (3 foot figures) are slightly smaller than the Bicorne miniatures. They measure 27mm-30mm from the top of the base to the top of the figure. They are well detailed and reasonably animated. They cost $1 per foot and $2.25 - 2.35 per cavalry figure. The Bicorne line contains about 18 foot and 9 mounted figures, but more are due shortly. The Eagle line contains about 19 foot figures (some with head variations) and 6 mounted figures. Those of you who collect or game with 25mm figures may want to see these figures before you buy other figures for you collection.
