Figure Review We recieved some figures from Martin Military miniatures recently, located at 1109 Henson Drive Hurst, TX, 76053-6315. Scale 54 mm, cost $4.00 per foot figure and $14.00 per mounted figure. Martin Military Minatures is a young company which has begun production with a line (8 ft, I mounted, 3 weapons) of 54mm ACW figures. These figures are reasonably detailed for the low prices charged, but are not comparable to higher priced competitor, such as Imrie-Risley. They would be quite suitable for large scenes where the viewers would not notice the detail as much and where the low cost would be a boon to the diaramist. Additionally, they would be good starting figures for those just beginning to collect and paint 54mm figures. (some assembly is required). Overall, these figures appear to be a reasonable quality for the price paid. - by P. Price At Cold Wars this spring I picked up some terrain setssnake rail fences, farm fields and several small hills made by a company called "FIELDS OF GLORY", run by fellow American Civil War Society member Paul Crouch. All pieces are very accurate in appearance and very functional. The prices are reasonable and they really enhance our gaming table. Paul offers other terrain pieces as well.
