It is with great pride that I can announce we had numerous applicants for the position of editor/publisher of The Zouave. While each candidate had strengths, I chose the candidate I felt would bring the best experience and greatest enthusiasm to the position.

Ivor Janci is your new editor. I feel very comfortable with the choice and am sure that you will enjoy The Zouave even more than you have in the past. I will be available to assist Ivor in any way as he takes over his duties. I ask that all members send articles -- you can really assist in this manner. Also, please send your 1998 membership dues to Ivor as soon as possible; please note his address below. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all the advertisers and all the individuals who have contributed articles in the past, without whom this magazine would never have succeeded. I'd like to thank my associate editor Jeff Farmer, a good friend who has helped me greatly and who has done all the desktop publishing since 1993.
