Name: Claire A. BriertonD.O.B. April 19, 1961 My first start into gaming was a play by mail gamed called "Silverdawn". It wasn't too bad and gave me an opportunity to have a little escapism in my life. I was quite shy in my younger years and didn't really start into role playing until I was in college. I met this guy in my 2:00 English grammar class who, to me seem a little bit quirky. He was a rather short gentleman just slightly over 5 feet in height. We started talking and found out that we had something mutual in common. I never had the chance to play a role playing game with a group of people before but he convinced me that this group was rather easy on new players. What made it a bit more interesting was that there was another female in the group so I didn't feel that I would be surrounded by a bunch of nerdy teenagers. Needless to say I eventually married the quirky guy from my 2:00 English class. We have been with several gaming groups since our move to the Washington DC area. This time I am the only female but the "guys" are a good bunch of eggs. Other than role playing games, I enjoy going to movies, my German Shepherd puppy, and on occasion help out with White Knight, (under duress sometimes). Name: Edward James ElsnerD. O.B. Jan. 13, 1974 (during Super Bowl VIII) One of my friends in elementary school had been subverted young and did well in converting me to gaming. We began playing Star Frontiers and our own Transformer game using the stat cards that came with every toy. The next year, our 5th grade student teacher continued the process by running AD&D during recess for those interested. Most of my close friends since then have been gamers or willing victims of gaming. I even put out an amateur Amber journal with my best friend for a couple of years. Honk if you remember Shadow Eclipse from Aqua Vertigo Publishing. Addendum: I've just put together a collection of my poetry entitled Ramblings that Happen to Rhyme.
