The Holy Armoury

by Rau, The Mystic Keeper

by Alan Mullins

Greetings,

It is I, Rau the Mystic Keeper of The Holy Armoury once again. With some wonderful weapons and armour for all you adventurers out there. I do apologize for the space of time that has elapsed but as usual it is the fault of mortals, You see for some time I was providing the information I specialized in to Dragonslayers Unlimited. But there was power struggle or something there and everything stopped for awhile. In fact my avatar, which I refer to as my mortal essence, was short changed shall we say by paying for two years membership and only receiving one years worth of Chainmail Newszine. Also paying for many turns in advance in the Crimsonvale PBM game, yet receiving only a few. But that's all right, I am very forgiving and those mortals are damned lucky that I am! Oh! I digress. As for the PBMing, I think I'm going to try "The Champions of the Golden Dragon."

Anyway this time I would like to tell you about "The Noble Collection". To start they have the license of both "Highlander" white dragon swords. Those of you who are true Highlander fans know that Connor McLeod and Duncan McLeod carry different designed swords. Moving right along, there is "The Dark Knight Sword". 53 inches of silver and steel accented with 24 carat gold snakes. They sure named it right. I think only a Black Paladin would wield the monster. And then there is "The Sword of Odin", also very impressive. Silver and steel with gold snakes and what appears to be rams horns across the hilt with a 51" jagged edged blade. I'm told that the deity Odin himself is quite impressed by the design.

Then there is what is claimed to by the sword of that rogue Robin Hood. Nicely decorated in red, blue and gold with an emerald in the pommel. A very nice long sword (48") for any thief. However, it is so beautiful that other rogues may try to steal it. We also have "The Sword of the Apocalypse," a massive eleven pound two handed bastard sword depicting the four horsemen of the Apocalypse as well as other designs. In addition there is "The Sword of Attila the Hun" which I must say that I am not impressed by this ugly thing,

The Noble Collection has a usual selection of Scottish Claymores, rapiers, jeweled daggers, shields, breast plates, helms, gauntlets battle-axes, crossbows, flails, maces, etc., etc. But what really impress me was the full suits of plate mail on stands, similar to what you might see standing in the halls of the old castles of modern day England. And the most wonderful thing of all, is a fully wearable set of samurai armor, absolutely wonderful.

Well until next time, may your wits and weapons always be razor sharp.

Hi, it is me, the Editor again, I posted this down here so not to disturb Rau. I have it on good information that Dragonslayers Unlimited is attempting to make a come back. There were some problems with the editor of the PBM group and his tardiness in delivery of Chainmail Newszine the clubs main means of communications. As for Champions of the Golden Dragon please read the news section of this issue, it will explain some things.
