White Knight is dedicated to the purpose ot covering just about every aspect of role playing possible. (If I haven't heard of it, then it is something new or I've been hiding under a rock.)
1.) Query Letters: Normally a query letter for submitted material should not be required. But if you think you have a new role playing system, game, or something of the like, then write a short detailed description of what vou would like to submit. A self addressed stamped envelope would be nice but isn't necessary.
2.) Submissions for Publication: Well that's just about everything that will be submitted to the newszine, including letters to the editor. If you have a personal beef with the editor then we'll handle it outside the confines of White Knight.
3.) Disclosure Form: If you submit something than you can expect a disclosure form from me. This protects me, so I can print what you send without too much worry. In this day of lawsuits and lawyers, it is one worry I don't want to deal with--espicially copywrited material, what you send should be an original unless you've obtained permission from the original author(s).
4.) Ethics: Well I hope I don't have to go into too much detail but just to cover some bases here's what will NOT be printed.
- Articles glorifying acts of evil such as murder, rape, robbery. I think you get the picture.
- Articles that could possibly inspire others to commit acts of crime or evil. It's a gray area but I think I could work something out if necessary.
- Portray drugs or alcohol as the cool or right thing to do.
- Present a race as inferior by using slang, derogatory languaage or any other means.
- Obsessive profanity/vulgarity, words such as "shit or damn" on occasion are ok but not for use in every other word.
- Presenting a religious or political organization as the best or worst.
- Articles that contain actual rituals for spells is a strict
NO.
5. Payment: Well as much as some people would like to be paid for their article, 1 just can afford it. Maybe if White Knight becomes a success then I'll work something out. Until then, I will send you a free copy of the newszine in which your article appears.
6. Submitting articles: On 8 1/2x11 white paper or 3.5 disk. I will scan the disk and will send the disk back when I'm done. Articles may also be submitted via e-mail: claireb@shirenet.com or Kheled@juno.com
