Well I'm always looking out for a new feature and came up with this one. I'm always looking for gaming stores as time permits and came across two that I thought might be of interest. The first may seem a bit biased since to me it is a local store but I'm always basing my shopping buck on the store that has what I want and has the personnel that know their product. Fantasy Forum The first is Fantasy Forum located in Arlington, VA. If you passed the store you'd think it was just a comic book store. At first I didn't think much of it but in order to be fair, I stopped in. While it lacks in glammour and glitz, you can fnd a wide variety of gaming material. From the latest from TSR, Steve Jackson, and other gaming companies to some material that is out of print. The staff is fairly helpful and do know the products that they carry. Some minor problems were parking, mainly metered parking was available--If you're not careful and don't feed the meter, you'll probably end up with a ticket. The store could use some work, and I did worry a bit about it's structural soundness. If you know what you're looking for then you'll probably be able to find it here. Intergalactic Sci-Fi World The next store on the list is the Intergalatic Sci-Fi World located in Orlando, FL. You'll need a map to find it and a good set of passenger eyes. Trying to locate it while driving is not recommended. My wife nearly beat me over my head as we drove by it. This was actually her idea since she is into sci-fi a lot more than I am. This store has just about something from every sci-fi movie, tv series, and game that has ever came out. While not really recommended for fantasy gamers, they do carry a small supply fantasy gaming material. The store staff was very knowledgeable about what they carry. I even found a sci-fi game that as far as I knew was no longer in print. I think they set me up because they had exactly what I wanted available on my second trip. Free parking is available, the staff rather friendly espically to tourist, and have a very good selection of sci-fi materials. If you really want a prop from a sci-fi movie they'll have it or can get it, you just have to have the plastic or bucks to buy it.
