RPGnet and Metagame Magazine
Announce New Interactive Project

Gaming News and Press Releases

by Bill Brierton

RPGnet ("The Inside Scoop on Gaming") and Metagame C'the magazine for live action gaming") announced the release of their new interactive real-time project, 'Ivy', their first direct collaboration of this sort. 'Ivy', three quarters of a year in the making, marks a bold new direction in developing the next generation of gaming. "Rather than focusing on a new idea, or a new interface," reported Sandy Antunes (Metagame editor), "we decided instead to simply work on the next generation gamer, directly," Added Emma Kolstad Antunes (RPGnet lead designer), "while the rest of our staff continue to work on the current projects, Sandy and I will generally be making 'Ivy' our top priority."

'Ivy' has already shown great promise, weighing in 7lbs 5 ounces, and showing abilities far in access of any previous online or print product. "Ivy is able to respond to the environment--and to other people--at at level that, quite simply, a mere web page or quarterly magazine can't match," noted Sandy, "and Ivy is adding new capabilities daily."

Despite this new project, both leads remain confident that their current ventures will continue. "Metagame" has announced that their winter issue (Science Fiction LARPs") is completed. While RPGnet continues to add new features monthly, Ivy, as of yet, had no comment.
