by Bill Brierton
Welcome to the first issue of White Knight. I am the editor/producer William Brierton. My name may not be famous nor do I claim to know everything about role playing games. The main reason I'm putting this small newszine together is that I'm tired of seeing most fantasy magazines cover the material that their company produces. White Knight is designed to not only cover fantasy role playing games but war/board games, the collectable card games, and the industry itself. Just how much information will you get out of White Knight that depends on you. I need writers and artist but also want to know about the subscribers. What games do they like to play, how they got started and what keeps them playing. I am also going to put together a living cities similar to the RPGA's Ravens Bluff. But these living cities will be more than just fantasy but sci-fi also. You the subscriber could add your name to this unique project. Also there will be a convention calendar, which will list future gaming conventions. The Traders area, which is for advertisements. This area will be for those of you who are looking for that out of print supplement or if you have items for sale. There's NPC Personalities which is a feature to describe one of your favorite player characters. He/she can be from any known gaming system or a home grown game. A pc description can include a sketch for those of you who can draw. (I can't) Look for these following features in the next issue. The Treasure Trove an area of unique and never before published items for any gaming system. The Good and The Bad, non personality chararcters who might provide an interesting encounter to that game of yours. This is just the start. I encourage you to consider subscribing. This is a good area to try your hand at be a writer or an artist. I of course can say "I remember them when..." I hope you like the starting issue and will subscribe.
