Airfix Tiger Tank Model

More Information

by the Featherstone

In last month's NEWSLETTER, AFV expert Anton Maund made some comment upon the new Airfix Tiger tank. This has been speedily answered by another modernist with considerable experience - Lionel Tarre

Lionel wants to know to which one he was referring, saying that because it was a Mk.VI it does not mean that it must, and would be, the same AFV made by Krupps as by, say, Henschel. Lionel says that the tanks of the PzKw IV class made by these two firms differed in the manner of their suspension and tracking.

It is possible, considers Lionel, that Anton will find that this is the case in the matter of which he sleeks. The more popular of the models produced is usually the one most often portrayed by plastic kit manufacturers!
