The problem of casualties on the miniature battlefield has its drawbacks. It is natural to assume that not all injuries will result in the death of the enemy, or, come to that, your own troops . In tackling this, I decided that to cover all fields of the game to divide the rules into the sot periods.
(B) Middle Ages. (C) Musket Period With the first period the situation is well covered with Bantock-Cass rule. "HITS - When obtained on enemy divide force into groups, and toss for individuals. Wounds as follows... UNARMOURED and SHieldless
3, 4 or 5 FILLED (Remove the figure) 6 SLIGHTLY WOUNDED. Armour or Shield
2) 3, 4 WOUNDED (Remove the figure ) 5 or 6 SLIGHTLY WOUNDED ARMOUR AND SHIELD
2 or 3 WOUNDED (Remove the figure) 4, 5, 6 SLIGHTLY WOUNDED All those who are SLIGHTLY WOUNDED carry on in the fight. The player's forces who are hit, tosses for his own troops. Under section (b), the standard and type of armour is greatly improved. In my own game I use the following ruling: ARCHERS (Longbow)
If attacked by dismounted
5, 6 SLIGHTLY WOUNDED Also if they cone under fire from ARCHERS, then half score are dead, remaineder wounded. ARCHERS (Crossbow)
MEN-AT-ARMS (DISMOUNTED)
5 , 6 KILLED This rule only for for hand-to-hand MEN-AT-ARMS (MOUNTED)
5 , 6 KILLED This rule only for for hand-to-hand MEN-AT-ARMS v. ARCHERS
1, 2, 3, 4, 5 SLIGHTLY WOUNDED
Under the final section (C), I use the following ruling: 50 men under fire (within musket range)
30 men under fire (within musket range )
10 men under. fire (within musket range
