AIRFIX MAGAZINE January 1972. Well illustrated article the Sturmgeschuetz IV; Expanding the Airfix Sherwood Castle Set; making Trestle Bridges; .54mm Model Soldier Conversions; reviews of new kits, figures, books, etc., plus a number of articles dealing with aircraft.

BATTLEFLEET Volume 5: No. 4. This Official Urgan of the Naval Wargames Society contains articles on the Battle of Lissa 1811; Ironclad Tactics; A Naval Carrier Action Wargame plus new models etc.

DISPATCH - No.59 Magazine of the Scottish Military Collectors Society, this number contains articles on Vehicles in Service in the British Army; articles and plates with uniform instructions about various Scots Regiments plus reviews of figures, books, records, etc.

DOMESDAY BOOK Nos 10 and 11. This publication is the Official Newsletter of the International Federation of Wargamers Castle and Crusade Society with Newsletter contributor Gary Gygax as its "King". Contains numerous articles on Mediaeval items such as heraldry; the Battle of Barnet; Mediaeval Oared Warships of the Mediterranean; The Turks; Janos Hunyadi, the Hungarian soldier; Mediaeval Fortifications; Naval Warfare Pre-Gunpowder Period; Rules for Mediaeval Miniatures, etc. This most interesting and unusual publication is a sort of American "Slingshot" and is recommended to those wargamers who are interested in the Mediaeval period. Contains illustrated articles on wargaming in the American Revolution Period; a useful article on Organisation of Forces in the 1944 period; a Battle Problem; An Ancient Wargame Battle Report; details of European sailor's uniforms 1890; manufacture of a model of Rorke's Drift 30mm scale; Table Top Unrealism; Battlefield Vision Problems in Napoleonic Battles; plus letters, reviews and other features.

THE AVALON HILL GENERAL November-December 1971. Full of useful articles for the board wargamer and includes an interesting cover and details of World War II tanks.

INTERNATIONAL WARGAMER October 1971. Contains well illustrated articles on French armour 1940; an interesting Mediaeval Combat Game; Alexander the Great; Naval Wargaming; illustrated articles on board games; very detailed article on German Tanks; Napoleonic Grand Tactics; Napoleonic Miniatures; The Planes of World War I; plus book reviews and other features.

MILITARY MODELLING January 1972. Packed with money-tempting adverts, also contains many features dealing with wargaming and models plus well illustrated articles on converting Airfix Romans; the new Airfix 54mm kits; Uniforms and Colours of the British Army; Visit to the new Army Museum; making a simple Guard Room, Stable and Stores; Mediaeval Heraldry; French Armoured Cars; How to Scratchbuild APCs; reviews of the latest figures, books, etc., together with Number 11 of Charles Grant's Napoleonic Wargame series.

AN-SAIGHDIUIRIN,The Journal of the Irish Model Soldier Society No.2. Maintaining its attractive format and contents of the first volume, this one contains articles on Animals in Uniform; phoney Britain's figures; Moulding and Casting; book, plate, figure, uniform reviews etc., etc.

THE SENTINEL Official Publication of The Gardens High Wargames Club, Florida, U.S.A. - Volume 21 Numbers 1 and 2. A very high standard magazine for a small group of wargamers still at school. Contains some nice things about their two leading Members' visit to Southampton and England together with articles on Gunboats on the River Don 1942-4; Adapting the Fletcher Pratt Rules to the Tony Bath System of Naval Wargames; plus discussion on Rules for a Post-Nuclear Conflict Wargame.

SOLDIER MAGAZINE December 1971. Beautifully illustrated as always and includes articles on Puma helicopters plus many other articles, book and record reviews, etc. Keeps you well up to date with the military world of today.

THE SQUADRON Autumn 1971. This house magazine for the Squadron Shop of Michigan U.S.A. contains, in addition to many advertisments, articles on the Jagdpanzer IV; Modelling German Tanks; Model Aircraft; Combat Troops of the Luftwaffe; an illustrated article on a large Napoleonic wargame reconstruction of Waterloo.

THE WARGAMER September 1971. This American publication contains illustrated articles on Building with Balsa; Combat Value of Bands; Fire Power Charts; Map Conversions; Spraying Figures; Tank Tactics plus book and figure reviews etc.
