To use up spare Airfix chariot and artillery horses that lack bases, use them in pairs with a large pin thrust through each so that they stand up through being fixed together. Connect them so that the head of one horse is out in front of the other thus concealing connection. Paint connecting pin black and then mount riders as usual.
