Lead Shot Ammo Counters

Hint of the Month

by Philip Stevens

In the book "Advanced Wargames" D.F.Featherstone suggests the use of counters to represent ammunition for smooth-bore artillery. A slightly more scenic method is to use lead shot. These can be stuck together in blocks of one's, two's, three's, etc. and arranged pyramid fashion beside the gun. Such an arrangement in real life would have made a quick departure difficult, but it does look more realistic than coloured counters.
