Future OSG Releases

Operational Studies Group now has a "Company Support" page on the internet, at www.Manzana.com In a recent discussion there a number of game suggestions were posted by the gamers and they were all very good. I asked for folks to send in their ranking of the ideas. Here are the results of the voting on the proposed OSG titles.

The three titles that came out ahead were The Spanish Ulcer and The Campaigns of Frederick the Great (each receiving 5 mentions among the top three), and Pacific Theatre of Operations (4 mentions). French Revolutionary Campaigns, Abensberg-Eckmuhl, a game in the Panzer Command system and Bonaparte in Italy each received two mentions, and Arcola/Rivoli received one.

Some echoed Paul Dallas, "Wow! So many good options, it's hard to pick just three."

    1. Spanish Ulcer
    2. Arcola/Rivoli
    3. PTO - WW II Nice if it was something in Burma, if not the whole campaign
    1. Operational Freddy.
    2. Campaign from the French Revolutionary Wars. Nothing exists on this topic that I'm aware of.
    3. Spanish Ulcer. For this and the game above, I'd really like to see you use the NAB system, which I really enjoy.
    1. a Spanish campaign
    2. Frederick the Great operational
    3. Abensberg-Eckmuhl using the Six Days of Glory system.
I am also keen on a redo of Bonaparte in Italy.
    1. Pacific Theatre - It could be like a USN remake with added supply rules and a better ground combat system. Please abstract China, it's boring.
    2. Panzer Command
    3. how about a good one map Waterloo medium complexity, brigade level. Somewhere between Glory and Battles of Waterloo.
    1. A campaign from the Spanish Ulcer.
    2. A campaign from Frederick the Great.
    3. A new Bonaparte in Italy.
3A. A strategic view of the War of the Spanish Succession - including Spain and Italy.
    4. Arcola/Rivoli a la Six Days
    5. A campaign from the French Revolutionary Wars (promote to 4 if the campaign was one of Napoleon's Italian campaigns).
    6. Abensberg-Eckmuhl using Six Days.
    1. low-to-medium Pacific (I am a Pacific fan)
    2. Bonaparte in Italy
    3. Panzer Command
    1. A low-to-medium complexity Pacific Theatre WWII
    2. An operational-level campaign of Frederick the Great
    3. A Campaign from the French Revolutionary Wars
    1. Abensberg (6DOG)
    2. Spanish Ulcer
    3. Frederick the Great
    4. Arcola/Rivoli
    5. The Wars of the French Revolution
    6. a redone Italy
