Napoleon at Bay

I really hate these little response cards, possibly because I am long winded, possibly because they leave so much out. I will in this letter attempt to follow the format used on the response card.

I bought this game for many reasons.

First. I will part with my coin for any Napoleonic Wargame (I still have my copy of AH's Waterloo).

Second, I am a fan of your work, Mr. Zucker. I use the Napoleon at Leipzig rules to play NES's Dresden and SPI's Napoleon's Last Battles. I have played the Spring Scenario of Struggle of Nations numerous times. And I have copies of Napoleon at Bay from TSG, AH, and now OSG. Almost forgot I also own The Emperor Returns, The Eagles Turn East (the latter being a little large for my limited space) and Battle for Italy.

Third, Napoleon at Bay covers my favorite late Napoleonic campaign. Your Six Days of Glory covers an aspect of that campaign on one level, Napoleon at Bay makes sense of the whole Campaign.

Fourth, the level of Napoleon at Bay allows the gamer to explore one set of factors that controlled the outcome of Napoleon's last brilliant campaign. You seem to have a clear sense, Mr. Zucker, of just what you want to simulate. Your systems do not try to be more than the level of play can support. It is this clear headed ability to find and hold to the limits of the system you are working on that I find admirable.
