The 1997 U. S. Army Promotion list was released in August. Out of about 3,000 Captains considered, 2,500 were selected for promotion. Captain Pete Panzeri's sequence number was 262, low enough to expect promotion around March 1998, when the 1996 list is exhausted. After over six years as a Captain (1 June 91) Panzeri comments: "It's gonna be a BASH of a promotion party!"
