The Associazione Romana di Storia Militare or Military History Association of Roma (ARSM) has over 40 members, and is probably the largest wargame association in Italy. We have been active with this name for over 6 years, but we have been around for over 20 years under the previous names of "3G" and "ARGO." Since 1987 we have a 100 square meters of game space all for us, with half a dozen games tables (the largest about 16 x 6 feet) with gaming activity almost every night (Friday and Wednesday are the two favorites). To complete the game- tables the Club offers lots of Geo-Hex, Total System Scenic and home-made terrain, whole metropolis of model buildings, forests of trees etc. Just bring your army, we have all the rest (including ready armies at that!).

Almost all wargaming periods are played, in a wide variety of scales. From Napoleonic Naval in 1/2400 to Crimea War in 1/300 to WWII in 20mm, you can find almost everything! our membership is Italian Lira 400.000.= each year (about US$250.=), but visitors are welcome and not charged for the first month. Most of the members speak good English, (ehm!... more or less!) and we have a Spanish, a German and three or four French speakers. I guess no language problems will be suffered. If you come to visit the "Eternal City" (that is Roma - Italy!) and wish for a wargaming night, do not hesitate to contact us! We will be glad to host our fellow HMGS'ers!
