Waterloo

Computer Game Review

by Bill Trotter

I just finished dispatching my review of the new Waterloo game about 20 minutes ago. I think it's outstanding. Quite an extensive tweaking of Sid's original Civil War engine (to reflect the very different tactics of the Napoleonic era), but the graphics are drop-dead lovely and the overall design is very deep, but intensively-almost obsessively, for me-playable. This is one of those rare titles that I'll keep playing long after the review deadline has passed. If you're a fan of that historical period, you'll probably have a grand time with it.
