Crete

The Director’s Cut

by Pete Panzeri

There is lots of new stuff on the JodieCon site this week: http://users.nac.net/jthomas/Jodie/JodieCon.html

I've added a section called "Crete'99 - The Directors Cut" which is a collection of the tons of files I generated in organizing Crete... complete orders of battle; commander's briefings; intel reports and historical background info, including ULTRA communiques and speeches by Churchill and the Greek prime minister; campaign options for both side, and who picked which option; special campaign rules and modifications to Command Decision; and a whole lot more I can't think of at the moment. I figured these might be useful to someone, somewhere, someday.

Soon to come: lots more narrative on the planning and organization of Crete; operational and tactical maps, including the maps we used to layout the tables; all the images used on the badges and handouts; the famous photo (well, it will be) of the Crete boards strapped to the roof of my car on the way to Origins; and, of course, More Charts!

If all goes well, I'll do something similar for Market-Garden.

Go to the Borodino page and send your info to Jodie so you can get a registration form.

Then, (better late than never) there are tons of photos from Austerlitz and Successors which I just got around to uploading. Hopefully I can scrounge up more.
