Sister Velveeta of the Little Sisters of Ecstatic Purification glanced down the street, and stiffened as she saw the forms moving through the rubble. Bunis, a whole unit of them. This was trouble. Big trouble. She raised her AK-47 and began to pray... IntroductionThis is a wargaming scenario based on BTRC's Macho Women With Guns and its supplements. Owners of the compendium edition will find everything they need in its pages. It works best if refereed, but this is not essential. It was largely inspired by the Gun Bunny figures produced by Ground Zero Games, who should be blamed accordingly. Following the collapse of civilisation, the so-called Renegade Nuns have been attempting to restore some of the amenities of normal life; shopping malls, boutiques, delicatessens, and (when they remember) churches and schools. These good works have been impeded by a variety of evil-doers, from relatively harmless N*zi H*ll Sm**fs and drunken fret boys through chauvinist swine and even the dread Isaac Azathoth. But now they face something even worse; a rival religion. The Temple of Buni is a strange cult that seems to have arisen from nowhere, its followers devoted to the mysterious Hefnir. Theologians speculate that this may be an incarnation of the Norse god Fafnir, but it seems unlikely. Their cult is orgiastic, using holographic advertising to lure the feeble-minded (ea. men) to strange temples, known simply as Klubs. Few survivors emerge, and those that do are broken in spirit and wallet, remembering nothing of their hideous ordeal. The temple's shock troops are known as Bunis; they wear tight-fitting body armour equipped with a strange electronic pod mounted on the buttocks at the base of the spine, and communications headgear. The Little Sisters have begun to suspect that this equipment also functions as a mind-control device; several of the Bunis are known to be former Nuns, apparently captured and brainwashed by the evil cultists. The SettingA wide avenue with looted shops on both sides, at least fihy hexes long and fifteen wide. There should be plenty of debris and obstacles in the street, but enough room for vehicles to pass. There should also be plenty of side alleys and openings to allow shop-to-shop fighting and ambushes. There is no route off the map, except the ends of the avenue. The Little Sisters of Ecstatic PurificationThe Sisters have 450 points, to be split amongst at least 4 Nuns. They have no transport or vehicular weapons. All other equipment, powers, and skills may be used. The Little Sisters begin in the middle of the street. This began as a basic shopping and looting expedition. You weren't expecting trouble, and your bikes are parked several streets away. Your main aim is to get out alive; any nun leaving either end of the street has escaped. An important secondary goal is to find out as much as possible about the Bunis. You suspect that their mind control will be broken if you can rip off their headgear and buttock pods. What happens then is unknown. Special rule: If a Nun can engage a Buni in Macho combat and overcome her, the Buni will stand still in the next round, giving the Nun a chance to remove the the control gear. The referee (or Buni player if no referee) determines what happens next. If the Nun performs any combat action in the round, including Macho aKacks, praying, etc., the control gear CANNOT be removed. Victory COnditions
Per Nun killed -10 Per Nun captured -20 Per Buni killed +5 Per Buni liberated (* Liberated from the mind control gear, not from life!) The Temple of BuniThe Bunis have 500 points, to be split amongst at least five Bunis. All Bunis MUST take the e-point Top-heavy disadvantage. Points must also be spent on a luxury limo large enough to hold all the Bunis; if there are ten Bunis, that means that the vehicle must be a ten seater stretch limo. It may be armed and armoured, including vehicular weapons. All Bunis wear tight satin-covered leather armour (full torso, armor rating 1, with integral breastplate armor rating 2, total encumbrance 2), and no other clothing apart from fishnet stockings and high heels. If they wish to run in high heels, they should buy the skill. In all other respects generate the Bunis as nuns, except that all skills and advantages relate to their religion. For example, a winged wimple is replaced by outsize rabbit ears. All of the Bunis are fanatically loyal to the god Hefnir, but are a little vague on precise details of his nature etc. They don't think about this; their programming doesn't let them. One Buni begins with the car, parked at one end of the street; the others are at the other end of the street. The Bunis are aware that there are nuns in the area; their mission is to capture as many as possible and and convert them into more Bunis. Special Rule: To convert a Nun two Bunis must overcome her in HTH combat and attach one of Hefnir's mind control headbands and a spinal tap to her body. This takes one round, during which the Bunis can do nothing else. Once the controls are in place, the nun will become a fanatical follower of Hefnir and join you in your holy quest. Her body form and clothing will even mutate to conform to Buni ideals; replace the Nun figure with another Buni figure! You have an unlimited supply of headbands and spinal taps. Victory Conditions
Per Nun converted: +15 Per Buni killed: -10 Per Buni captured: variable Limo destroyed: -20 (Hefnir will be REALLY annoyed) RefereeThe information following should be kept by the referee, or by the Buni player if there is no referee: All Buni recruits are miraculosly transformed to the Buni stereotype when the mind control headset and spinal tap are fitted. If they are removed, the Buni quickly reverts to her, his, or its original form. Roll 2D6; re- roll 2-3, 11 or 12 if they occur more than once. The table shows dice roll, result, and the victory points won or lost by Nuns/Bunis.
Play continues until all of one side has been killed, converted, or fled the table. At this point scores should be compared, with 5 extra points going to whichever side still has live combatants left on the table. Additional ScenarlosRaid on the Klub With the information the Nuns have gained, it becomes clear that their holy duty is to destroy the evil Hefnir and all his works and free the Bunis. This scenario is a big commando raid on the Klub, a fortress with casino and disco. Think of the Klub as Jabba The Hutt's castle and you won't go far wrong. Both sides get 700 points for combatants; the Bunis must spend at least 150 of these points on prisoners, who are potential recruits and food for Hefnir. The Bunis can make new Bunis from their prisoners (one per two Bunis per uninterrupted round). They must also feed at least one unsuitable candidate (e.g. frat boys, chauvinists, N*zi H*ll Sm**fs, etc.) to Hefnir, a huge hungry mountain of blubber with enormous ..ummm.. appendages, each round; if he is not fed he will grab the nearest Nun, Buni or prisoner, whichever is closer. Use the stats for Bthulhu for Hefnir, except that Hefnir regenerates 1D3 points of damage per round. Unlike Bthulhu, Hefnir dies if killed. They Stole Hefnir's Brain The Nuns have defeated Buni (if they didn't, Bunis eventually become the only form of life on Earth) and killed the evil Hefnir. Unfortunately another group of Bunis descends on the Nuns as they loot the Klub; their aim, to recover the corpse of Hefnir and clone him! Both sides get 400 points (or use the survivors from Raid on The Klub for the nuns, and an equivalent force for the Bunis). The Nuns win if they can destroy Hefnir's body completely (this will take 100 points of damage, he's a BIG bastard). The Bunis win if they can remove 10 Enc. of body parts and get them off the table.
