Hartlepool (NE Britain)
by Martin Hair
This Napoleonic naval complex at the old ship docks includes the restored HMS Trincomalee (1818). A 'living history' museum, there is the Trincomalee for the experts, and the 'living history' to keep the family amused. My favorite part was the large models of the vermin found on board! If you are in the north east of Britain, about 30 minutes from Durham, Hartlepool is worth visiting.
