While rummaging around my hard drive, I found some photos of Cold Wars 2004. It is by no means a comprehensive record, but represents my dash around the convention--when I remembered to bring my camera! Cold Wars again delivered a marvelous convention catering to the historical miniatures crowd. On the one hand, it'd be great for more history buffs to discover the HMGS event, but on the other hand, the 2,000 or so wargamers who arrive form a nice sized crowd. So, if you can stand the wait for the graphics, step inside a glimpse of Cold Wars and see some of the artistry of the attendees. Vicksburg of the ACW, I believe.
Castle Siege. Note the flaming ball heading towards the wall.
Stalingrad, or some other WWII city.
An American Civil War Confederate Attack, with close up of the Virginia boys.
Tiny dangers: 2mm(!) horse and musket era British attack.
Bombs Away with the US bomber stream.
Operation Market Garden stretches a good 75 feet or more.
Stitching Madness. MagWeb.com VP Susan Lockwood wields a needle and a chuckle with Greg Lyle.
