Once again we gathered as guests of College of the Ozarks in Branson Missouri. Punic Wars IV began on Friday Night, we had a small number of gamers and students but those who came got to play Lions Den's new 54mm Cave Man Game on the BIG TABLE (8ft X 24ft+.No Kidding) . Harold Cox set up Blue Max for those who didn't want to fly. Saturday Morning dawned with Lion's Den running 54mm American Civil War. George Leaf had 15mm Picket's Charge. Jeff Lawrence started the "Christmas of 44" scenario of Command Decision – this time the American forces fought it our from 10:00am to 7:00pm. The Americans were novices, for many it was their first experience gaming. Did they win, find them at Twister Con and ask them, they'll be the kids from Missouri. Grady West and Bill Stocker brought their beautiful Blue Max Game with them and smoke and bullets filled the skies. Grady also brought a 15mm Napoleonic Scenario. George ran a 54mm Football game in the afternoon. Lion's Den ran the traditional "Taney County Baldknobbers" to the laughter and excitement of all. Everyone had a great time. We made a few converts and recruits. As missionary work goes it was a success. Over 150 College Students spent at least 45min in Punic Wars IV. We had probably another 50 gamers and non-students. The Food and Rooms were excellent as usual. And the price was right FREE. I'd like to take a moment to thank some friends who make Punic Wars Possible. First Dr. Glenn Cameron and College of the Ozarks for the great facilities (yes the Table was 8ft X 24ft and could have been larger), rooms, and lunch. I'd like to thank the gamers who come as missionaries: Ken Van Pelt & Lions Den (sorry I'm bad with names but I know your faces; Thank-You), George Leaf, Jeff Lawrence, Grady West, Bill Stocker, Harold Cox, and Jon Mendenhall. I'd like to thank the teachers from Purdy who come down with their students every year. I'd like to thank Tim Kellogg who couldn't be there but got me hooked a long time ago and Diana who puts up with me. Thank-You…Dave PS: We'll Be Back If You Will.
