After Action Game ReportFor those that took part and those that are interested the desert battle was fought to a bitter stalemate in the passes of Halfaya. Let me try to make an impartial ruling on this, Italian/German total points were about 1360 (Kenny actually seems to have had more armour points than he was supposed to have, that MKIV should not have been on), of which they lost 3 x125.5 point Inf btns (I'm counting routing units as lost for the purposes of the battle), the crew for a 47mm (9 points) and one tank put out of action (20) so thats 405.5 points British losses amounted to 85 points from one btn (they still had a company, a soft skin, a Bren carrier a 3" mortar and 1 crewman out of a total btn cost of 133) The second Btn (Alex) was into morale rolls, I believe it suffered 24 casualties = 48 points, then of course the MG coy (22) got wiped, as did the 2-pdr btn (all but one gun with no gunners = 38 points lost) total British losses 193 points out of a total of 600 + 100 (defences)+ 95 (hurricane) 795 The two forces were in fact very well balanced for a proper 10:6 attacker defender game, with the ration of 1360/795 working out at about 60/100. The losses however are not really comparable with 405 / 193.
