Russian Turn 2/3 Sunday saw two huge Russian attacks thrown in against the gallant Poles. A Russian rifle brigade of 6 battalions with limited support attacked in the South, while another slightly smaller bde of 5 btns attacked in the Centre. The Central front swept all before them... However, the Southern command was unable to break the Poles and lost severe casualties in the heavy fighting. As night fell, although the Polish position had been outflanked they were able to withdraw in excellent order while the Russians, having been decimated tried to prevent further collapse by consolidating their gains. All in all while all Polish units (2 btns and tankette coy) were on morale checks at the end of the game, non-failed. 5 out of 7 Russian commands (6 infantry and 1 cavalry recon) were on morale tests, 3 of these were routed giving the Polish an outstanding victory and the Soviet command something to think about in their next encounter game in the South. That should please Alex no end (send a boy to do mans work and all that) Awards Bob's command plus 50 points and Artillery Support for his next game. Southern Polish (East) get Divisional Assets and Intelligence. The Divisional Assets for the Poles means they may be able to select a "special unit" from the divisional pool which they can keep until it's wiped out (This might for example be a permanent TKS company, Bofors AA company, Heavy artillery etc). The award is free and is a one off, so no replacements will be available if casualties are sustained.
