The Sides Two unequal forces of Parliament vs Scottish Royalists Scots musket heavy, no horse plus a rabble, medium gun Parliament a few horse majority regular pikes and a few shot. Comments
2) The Scots only got to fire twice before being out of shot. The parliamentary army fired 4 times. 3) Small units very fragile and liable to take half the rest of the army with them when they run away. 4) Half the battle was units running away and coming back. 5) You can fight with 2 1000 point 15mm armies on two 2ft boards.We used cms rather than inches and all seemed to work 6) Most of figures based in threes but slightly fiddly to move. Movement bases/trays would be useful. However we could work out the following ;
2 ) What allows a unit to counter charge, what criteria ? 3 ) How often does artillery fire ? we played it every other round. 4 ) In this game what does reload actually mean ?. Is this a round without shooting or do you need to go off and get resupply from baggage. If so time to get an ammo wagon. Conclusion Well this was a fun game, ideal for any players familiar with GW systems .
