There are very few edible things in the Jungal. Most of the things "down in the valley" would love to eat Orks though. The Orks landed on a plateau so as to give a good "defensible" jump off point - only trouble is there is only one side of the "plateau" that can easily be used for expansion (this is my very weak explanantion for a 3 foot X 4 foot game table).
So far the only aliens the Orks have met are also strangers to the planet - but they makeup for this with fecund breeding and an array of claws, fangs and spitt. There are also some very BIG alien creatures around. In the valley are the native flora and fauna (anyone got any really WEIRD things for this - otherwise they might be reptillian...) and some other "visitors".
Still the internecine warfayre should be fun and of course the river crossing looks like it should be fraught.
Remember "THERE KAN BE ONLY ONE"....
