The following are the issues which I would like to debate. SMALL TARGETS Such as jeeps, scout cars, when they are moving. I would like to see a -1 to hit penalty. SCHURZEN Rapid fire makes no allowance for the use of this cunning invention at all. I would like to see a vehicle with schurzen being allowed to make a saving throw against an attack by bazooka, or similar infantry anti tank weapon. this would apply to flank attacks only, a saving throw would be successful on a throw of 3 or more on a 1D6. Then do you give this a points value if you want to add it to your vehicles. AIRCRAFT As we mentioned last weekend, i don't see why an aircraft should be allowed to attack any thing on the table. Anything in woods for example should be immune from attack. I belief an aircraft should be designated a flight path, or attack nominated 2 ft square tiles to attack before the game starts - much like the steel panthers PC game. The exception to this would then be spotter aircraft or forward air controllers - ( FOO's for aircraft, which the Brits use extensively in 1944 onwards - don't know if others do. GUNS I would leave the 6 pdr as it is, as for others; 37mm hollow charge /steilgranat ; used from 1941, not in massive numbers, it was harder to hit with as it was fitted over the end of the barrel - not breach loaded, but could penetrate 180mm at up to 300 metres, which is better than a Tiger 1 with 120mm at 100 metres. Therefore I would give it a gun class 2 at short range only. Note: the 150mm IG also has a similar stiel granat round - rule amendments anyone ?? 75mm short barrelled IG From 1943, this was also issued with a hollow charge round, which is why the Germans were using them on Panzer IIIs in 1943 - it was effective penetrating 100mm of armour at 100 meters, which is the equal of a gun class 2 in RF. Again, make this a gun class 2 at short range only.
