Padway Quickprofit, a Sprite merchant who left the Hillian Empire for the distant kingdoms of Brattlemere and Pretesmere in the spring, returned to his homeland laden with goods and silver coins. The mercenaries he hired prior to his departure were well compensated for their services, though Padway regretted announcing the deaths of three of his guards.

"We were attacked several times during the trip by Wolves, Boars, and Bren. The men fought bravely, but were overwhelmed." The generous Sprite donated the deceased men's pay to their families. "I am going to rest up during the winter and head back out next spring. I think I will need more carts, more goods, and more guards. It was a very prosperous trip."
