D. Frost, 11516 41st Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (Agent for Douglas Miniatures) announces a new series of 1/72nd British and German Infantry, including a Vickers M.M.G. and British cyclist, and a series of R.A.F. pilots and ground crew. This is called the "Skybird Range" and sell for 5p foot, 10 p mounted, and 14 p & 29 p respectively painted. This looks extremely good for modern Wargamers! Cremean, Napoleonic, and 18th Century 20mm types as well as 54mm's are covered in the attractive new catalog which may be obtained from Mr. Frost. Catalog price was not provided.

S.E.G.O.M. 50 Boulevard Malisherbers, Paris 8 France. A new figure in 25mm scale representing a Prussian Dragoon or Landevelier Uhlan joins the Wargame series of this manufacturer. The figure is a "combination," having two arms, one with lance, one resting on the hip. Prices are reasonable and detail excellent, but, as usual, the figure is halted.

Gerhard Tobinnus, 3 Hannover Auf dem Dorn 24. Herr Tobinnus has provided the following supplementary information on his catalogue prices. His catalogues, for those who have not previously dealt with him, are generally in the form of photographs showing usually 15-25 figures. This is rather expensive, but you know for sure what you are getting.

1. 20mm Figures, Sollner and Kroner series. (12 photos 3.30 DM) Thirty years war 4 photos Franco-Prussian 4 photos 4 sheets listing 20mm artillery equipment (round models 1 photo of German and Russian Troops 1941-45

F.C. Neckel 7317 Wend Ii ngen/Neckar Goethestrasse 16

Herr Neckel, alas, carries the expensive catalogue tradition one up with his 1.00 DM printed sheets as follows:

    Ancients: 8 sheets
    1683-1700: 7 sheets
    1790-1815: 15 sheets
    1900-1945: 11 sheets
    1730-1786: 12 sheets
    1820-1871: 7 sheets

All of these pertain to 30mm flats. The normal price of foot figures is .5 DM, the normal mounted figure price is 1.00 DM. Standards on foot are 1.00 DM, mounted from 1.85 to 3.00 DM.

With reference to the above prices, the DM now runs about 33 cents U.S. and at least 35 cents should be allowed for money changing.

John Hathaway Imported Hobbies 410 W. 6th Street No. 221 San Pedro California 90731. In addition to his expanding line of paper planes, buildings, ships, trains, etc., John is offering plastic field guns of the Revolution (kit C-X) and War Between the States (kit A-X) From the photos these look like some roughly 40mm models long sold in gift shops around such places as Yorktown, Va. and Gettysburg, Pa.

However, he lists the scales as 1/40 for the A.C.W., which should be about 40mm, and 1/64 for the Revolutionary War item, which would be about 30mm scale. The price is 50 cents per cannon, and the A.C.W. kit comes with alternate barrels for Napoleon, 6pdr., Parrot, and Ordonnance Rifle.

Jack Scruby,P. 0. Box 144, Visalia, California 93277.Jack's new magazine called after his first "The War Game Digest," has arrived. Published erratically (more so than is traditional in this field) each issue costs $2.00. The quality of this new magazine is excellent, containing articles by Dave Rusk, Charles Sweet, David Lindenbauer, and, of course, Jack Scruby. There are forty pages with numerous photographs and material on A.C.W., Thirty Years War, Colonial and Ancient Wargames. Jack also has been mailing out notices concerning a break with Ambrite. This unfortunately means a slight price increase in figures and an end to pre-cast stocks. Some continued association with Ambrite is mentioned but the nature of this association is ambiguous and presumably all Scruby figures will be handled independently.

Signal 2111 14 Street, S.W., Calgary, Alberta, Canada, will publish 2 times a month.

Airfix is listing a British horse artillery (1812) soon to be released Also French Infantry and A.W.l. British Grendiers are good sets with all figure in action.
