On Feedback

You won't believe this, but between the mailing Of "The Wargame" in July 1969 and the mailing of Volume II Number 1 in early September the flow of frantic, angry, and even condolence letters reached panic proportions. For some time your editor bore all this in silence, then began replying in postcards. It dawned upon me, however, that "The Wargame" was an option item--some of you chaps are so intolerant of other peoples rules that you wouldn't even give a lousy 75 cents for them. This meant that when "The Wargame" emerged between Volumes I and II skeptics throughout the land were wondering who to sue for their subscription money, or, perhaps, more charitably, regretting the untimely demise of T.A.G.

Actually we have not yet begun to collapse! We are, however, always open to suggestions.

A few words of explanation have been rightly demanded concerning certain past articles.

For one thing, the Franco-Prussian article in Volume I Number 6 page 13 top: "The Prussians and their allies in the North German Confederation precedes "...precedes "on tight company columns."

Volume II Number 1 "Naval Battles" your editor, in his capacity of translator, misinterpreted "light armored warship." The category refers to small ironclads and monitors of one turret. Auxilliary armored vessels are classed "unarmored " in the table of powers.
