The following letter crossed my desk the other day from Alex "Shoes" Kachevsky and it moved me enough to print it here. Dear Rob, I thought you could share with your S&Cers the following: "This is Brian. He is a grognard and
he is Die-Challengcd. Even though he
knows the rules to a game and
maneuvers his troops well. Brian loses
games constantly due to really bad dice.
This is not the normal bad dice that
many grognards get for short periods of
time during their gaining lives, it is a
debilitating affliction that could have
ruined Brian's gaming experience for his
entire life. But there is hope! With the
help of the American Society of' Die
Challenged Persons (ASDCP), Brian
now has a chance of winning a game.
With the use of specially weighted dice,
modified Combat Results Tables, and
therapy to teach proper die rolling
techniques, Brian can now have a
statistically normal game. but we can't
continue to help Die Challenged Garners
without your support. Fixing dice and
redesigning combat tables for a gamer's
particular handicap takes a great deal
of effort and money, even with World
Famous Game Designers donating their
time and effort for this noble cause. So
plea." give generously to the ASDCP
because a bad garner is a terrible thing to
face."
