The first two releases are Game Auction and The Race for Space. Both designs are by Rob and are as different as is possible. Game Auction is a funny and satiric take on the wargaming hobby. Fast paced with many variations, this is the auction game of small stakes bidding at gaming conventions. Not for the weak at heart, it is a 2 to 6 player game of gaming buying and selling. Besides seeing the humor in the event, the games section lampoons the people, companies, and games that make our hobby what it is today. The second release is a serious look at the space race of the 1950's and 1960's, aptly titled The Race for Space. With 104 uncut counters and a whole load of cardstock paper, the game is a unique look at the competing scientific efforts to put the first man on the moon and all of the other firsts along the way. In monthly turns, each player secretly builds his technology and practices launches and the like until they announce publicly the missions. Then it is TV cameras humming, typewriters thumpings, as the satellites are launched and the world decides the prestige of the mission. It is a load of fun.
