Commissar Keller and Obergruppenfuhrer Wilhelm von Hark describe this WWII battle: Commissar Keller: They came in the same old way and we beat them the same old way! It seems the Nazi commanders did not understand their weaponry. They brought their 88s in close which allowed us to bring maximum firepower onto them and destroy them utterly. After a fierce exchange the left flank was crushed and sent into retreat with a minimum of casualties to the USSR. ON the right flank we ambushed a group of Tigers. Our only losses were in the penal battalion. We are advancing towards Berlin, which we will capture in the Spring. The Germans will no doubt seek revenge in the next game. Von Hark: Soviet forces defending the town suffered heavy casualties in both armor and infantry. The German right flank, which I commanded, fought with MK III panzers against great odds and superior firepower. His forces withdrew from the field in good order. The German left flank was commanded by a corporal with limited command ability and a habit of ignoring orders. The main German force did not enter the field of combat.
