Accurate 1/72 Plastic American Revolution: British Infantry A great set of figures! Well molded and loaded with detail, there are really no useless figures in this set. The box includes drummers, sergeants with spontoons, and officers with swords. The Flag bearer has the flag draped over his shoulders so some carving is necessary if you want to print your own flags. I turned him into an officer and converted some other figures into flag carriers. A mounted officer would be a nice addition to this set. They can pass for Hessians or Continentals if you're not too picky. I found very little flash, even on the bayonets and hats. One frustrating feature is that the hats are attached to the sprues and it requires a little work to get them off without damage. The main drawback is that the set doesn't include any light infantry or grenadier figures. You can make reasonable facsimiles with a little carving. Check out the Saratoga Rules for some pictures of these figures, including some conversions. Accurate 1/72 Plasic American Revolution: American Militia Another fine set of figures. They come in a variety of outfits including hunting shirts and shirtsleeves. Dress ranges from frontier pioneer to casual to well dressed, with a variety of headgear. They will work well as militia, minutemen, etc. There are an unusual number of pistols, and the set lacks a good officer figure with a sword. I painted up some of the figures with coats as uniformed continental line, used some of the guys with hunting shirts for frontiersmen, the rest were painted as militia. If you want properly uniformed regiments buy the British Infantry and paint them in the appropriate colors. Painted figures from this set can be seen in the Saratoga Rules.
