Mrs. Loretta Thomas, the program coordinator for the Cape May County Civil War Round Table, invited me to use miniatures to portray the battle of First Manassas. At the April 13, 2000 meeting of the Round Table the plains of Manassas took shape on a 5' x 9' table (with some help from Charlie, Matt, and Tom). I described the highlights of the battle as the miniatures were moved over the terrain. Our presentation was a success. The members really seemed to enjoy their first ook at historical miniatures and we have been invited to do another demonstration at a future meeting. The club was presented with a generous gift certificate which we will use to buy pizza at an up coming Game Day. You can see some photos on page 14!
