President's Message

Editorial

by John Burke

Well another Historicon has come and gone and it was successful. I want to congratulate Matt on how well he put together our Battleground WWII games with our friends from ATAK Miniatures. All three games were exciting and the action was hot and fierce. I want to recognize all the members and friends of the SJCW that made it to the convention: Charlie, Matt, Ted, John, Phil & Family, Kirby and KJ, Bill Harkins and his son. I also ran into former member Paul Gauthier (he was stationed here at the Coast Guard Base) at the convention. Paul has retired and is now residing in Minnesota with his wife. Paul told me to extend his regards to everyone. Until the Sept. Game Day - happy gaming.

Financial Update: The treasurer reports that we have enough funds for three more game days this year (Sept., Oct., and Nov.). There will be no game day in Dec. due to the Holidays.
