This is a full-sized reproduction of a full- page, black and white ad which appeared in February 1973 in issue 179 of Marvel Comics Group’s Kid Colt, Outlaw. It may have appeared in other comics and magazines at this time too, but this is the one that happened to come to hand in the thrift shop. Actually, the text is not a reproduction. It was typeset, almost identically to the original, which was for all intents and purposes unreadable. There may be excellent reasons why SPI chose Scrimmage as the Conflict Simulation to highlight in this ad, but they are, as the song goes, lost and gone forever. Dreadful sorrow, Clementine. By the way, 14 of the 36 pages were ads. 61% editorial content isn’t that bad.
