"U-Boats Against Canada"

by MICHAEL HADLEY (1612-1990)

Hardbound edition published by McGill-Queens University in 1985, containing 360 pages, 39 photographs.

All U-Boat operations in Canadian waters including shipping attacks, landing of agents and setting up weather stations are described in depth in this well-done book. A significant amount of research and interviewing of the German participants was conducted. Among boats that receive more detailed coverage are U-69, U-132, U-165, U-190, U-513, U-517, U-536, U-541, U-806, U-889, U-1231 and U-1232. This book appears to be the definitive work on a part of the submarine was that hasn't received much attention in the past.
