Letters to the Editor

by the readers

As we see by his Member Number, DONALD BERHENT (6882-2004) is a pretty new Member, but he writes: "Yesterday I received my first issue (#178) of Sharkhunters and could not put it down! I do remember seeing newsreels in the 40s of WW II action. In the early 70's I did a lot of research and discovered we were fed a lot of propaganda about the Third Reich. I have many books covering the German side of the conflict and am interested in all branches of their military. I wish everyone there the best and look forward to the next issue of Sharkhunters."

NICK REVELIOTTY (6839-2004) took several of his family with him on our Crimean `Patrol' and he writes: "We all had a great time on the Crimean Tour. Hans-Rudolf was a great guide and the interpreter was terrific. Some hotels could have been better but we had to realize we were no longer in the USA. The rest of the world can't be as beautiful as New Jersey."

Comments on our "Patrols" to Europe

Col. BOB WICKE (6625-2002), USAF (Ret), was with us in Europe, and he wrote this about our "Patrols'' to Europe.

    1. You know your way around;
    2. The tours are complete and very enjoyable;
    3. You take in many various sites of interest;
    4. Very personable & have everyone's interest at heart;
    5. The tours are of the highest quality;
    6. You have great German guides who speak great English;
    7. Nobody pressures any tour participant to buy anything;
    8. You have something for the ladies as well as the men.

Thanks BOB - we do our best to make certain that everyone has a great time and wonderful memories.

RUSS LOCKWOOD (6486-LIFE-2001) and he writes: "A brilliant combination of history and news."

What Was His Job in the Crim?

GERD DIETRICH (5923-LIFE-1999) explained that his job as a cannoneer (Oberfeuerwerker) was to:
1. To have sufficient ammunition for 4 batteries of 21cm;
2. Technical control of the guns and other weapons;
3. Removal of blind shells.
GERD is a great guy and a good friend. He does a lot to help us prepare our "Patrols" in Europe.

Some time ago, MARIANNE BIZAK (5637-1998) wrote: "Great organization, great Magazine!"

BILL HAAS (6849-2004) recently wrote this to us: "It's too bad I didn't learn about Sharkhunters sooner. It certainly is a great organization and I look forward to seeing the new issues. "

BOB HUGHES (5908-C-1999) recently wrote: "I work for the Navy in diving research and Sharkhunters is better than sliced bread I look forward to each issue."
