The President's Corner

21 Years

by Harry Cooper

Goodbye Ronnie!

One of the sad duties I have here at Sharkhunters is to note the passing of so many wonderful Members, especially since the guys from the war years are getting well up in age. And so it is with RONALD REAGAN (1858-+-1991). He was, without a doubt, the most colorful and popular President of my lifetime and in the minds of most Americans, one of the best ever.

I am proud to have a couple personal letters and a signed photo of former President REAGAN framed and hanging on my wall. His contributions to the world are many, but probably his best known came upon his famous quote: “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”

And Gorbachev did. God bless you, Mr. President and we wish you a quiet and comfortable life in the hereafter. You earned it!

Christmas is Coming!

We suggest that you check the website and place your Christmas orders as early as possible. Every year, we scramble to fill all the orders and we usually make it in plenty of time. However, we always have a small handful that call in their order with only days to spare before Santa comes whizzing through the icy air – in Florida, there is no icy air – but the end result is that we sometimes cannot always get that last minute order to you in time to stick it under the tree, no matter how hard we try.

Check the website today for your Christmas orders. It is pretty easy to follow along, and there are things on the website that are not in the KTB Magazine simply as a function of real time versus publishing time, and more items go on the website each week.

Your Christmas and year-end catalog will be coming to you soon, for those Members not on line. NOTE – the prices have not gone up in years BUT in all likelihood, they will in 2005 so whatever you want or need, we suggest you order it in 2004 to avoid price increases and disappointment.

Merry Christmas – a bit early, but always important.

BBC Praise

The BBC considers SHARKHUNTERS to be:

“The most respected and the most authoritative source in the world for German U-Boat history.”
--per BBC reporter Graham Pound; November 1996
