Colonel WILHELM HÖHN (789-1988) sent us a clipping that the famous Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin has been covered with blue plastic to “prevent people from exploiting the famous Cold War border crossing. The wrapping of the guardhouse at the former frontier between East and West Berlin is aimed at spoiling the backdrop for tourist photos.”

Col. HÖHN asked that we should check the water next time we are in Berlin. He believes that something is making these people crazy. With actions like this, who can argue with that possibility?

One might think that they are making personal photos impossible so that they can sell the post cards with the image, taken earlier???
