DRAGAN BLAGOJEVIC recently came aboard and when he got his ‘Welcome Aboard’ packet, this is what he wrote:
STEVE POWELL (1414-LIFE-1990) just sent an e-mail saying: “I was a junior member of the Coronado Yacht Club 79-80. Jack Coye was already well known to me since I was reading everything I could about WW II fleet boats. He had a Cal 25 “SEADOG” and sailed it frequently. I think I made an impression on him as a 17 year old who knew a lot about his career on the SILVERSIDES. I rode my bike past his house practically every day which had the submariner dolphins mounted over the garage door. I thought many times on wanting to crew for him just to hear him recollect some diesel boat history, but as most 17 year olds, I was more inclined to pursue the beach bikini scene. Ned Beach and Jack Coye were tributes to our fine Navy and the Submarine Force. Thanks for helping preserve their place in history.” ART COLLINS (1054-1989) wrote this with his renewal:
